The introductory day will include two guided site visits to illustrate the teaching. It will end with a practical design exercise.This day will give delegates a basic understanding of urban design and preparation for the Foundation Courses for Streets or Planning professionals.Please note: much of the foundation content is also covered through our on-line resource Learning Space. If you want to get familiar with some of the concepts before attending a session, catch up on a missed session or want to refresh your learning at a later date, please use the Learning Space - start with the 'Introduction to Urban Design' e-course.How do I register for a course?UDL runs a subscription service for London boroughs - if you work for a London borough please talk to your urban design team as they will hold the central bookings form for your authority. If you work for TfL, the LDA or CABE you don't need to pay for sessions.To provisionally book a place please click the 'Book this event' button at the end of this page. Complete the details on the form and submit - bookings will be confirmed and details sent closer to the event.If you do not work for a subscribing borough, or any other organisation or are a student or private individual you will need to pay for your sessions.
