Masterclasses are for urban designers and built environment professionals who understand core urban design issues and practices and wish to find out about new research, exemplar schemes and design solutions others are coming up with.

Out of town competition and now the recession mean that our cherished town centres are finding it harder and harder to cope.But in some places they are thriving, often where the public realm is practical and appealing, where the mix of uses is exciting and where it’s easy to get to and around the centre.
This masterclass will look at the characteristics of successful town centres and consider the lessons they can teach us as we look to improve and secure the future of less fortunate areas.
Our speakers have worked on designs for a number of successful town centre schemes and will share their perceptions of the challenges and potential of London’s centres.
How do I register for a course?
UDL runs a subscription service for London boroughs - if you work for a London borough please talk to your urban design team as they will hold the central bookings form for your authority. If you work for TfL, the LDA or CABE you don't need to pay for sessions.
If you want to pick and mix from the foundation course and workshop sessions to create your own course, please contact training@urbandesignlondon.com.To provisionally book a place on this course please click the 'Book this event' button at the end of this page. Complete the details on the form and submit - bookings will be confirmed and details sent closer to the event.
If you do not work for a subscribing borough, or any other organisation or are a student or private individual you will need to pay for your sessions. If there are places available you can book as above.
